What We're All About

Your Spot Is Here is part of Washington State Dept. of Transportation's (WSDOT) project to replace the Alaskan Way Viaduct, in partnership with the Seattle Department of Transportation. On-street parking underneath the viaduct will be removed during construction. Funding was included in the project's budget to create affordable parking spaces, and provide information to visitors and shoppers to Pioneer Square and the central waterfront. Your Spot Is Here also provides support to merchants to promote neighborhood happenings, special events, and other activities to encourage visitors to enjoy the neighborhoods to help maintain their vitality during construction.
